About the Role Le Meridien is seeking a Housekeeping Order Taker to join their team. This full-time position involves supporting Housekeeping management in daily operations and acting as a central liaison between various hotel departments to ensure efficient room status management and guest service. Key Responsibilities Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, and prioritize room cleaning schedules. Update the status of departing guest rooms and document/resolve discrepancies with the Front Desk. Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments. Prepare and distribute room assignments to Housekeeping staff. Record, monitor, and update the list of ‘Do Not Disturb' rooms. Ensure vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the required time and assign rush rooms or those previously on the ‘Do Not Disturb' list. Complete all necessary Housekeeping paperwork accurately. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries. Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and express genuine appreciation. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns. Communicate clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately. Utilize computers to enter and locate work-related information. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or * equivalent. At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred. No supervisory experience is required for this role. No specific license or certification is required. Physical Demands The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. It also involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
