About the Role As a Host/Hostess-Lead at Sheraton , you will be responsible for managing dining reservations, seating guests, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This full-time position also involves assisting management with various operational tasks and serving as a role model for other employees. The role requires 0-1 years of experience. Key Responsibilities Answer phones, take dining reservations, and accurately enter diner information into the reservation system. Maintain the wait list and provide accurate wait times to guests. Make appropriate seating decisions using the station rotation chart and organize seating for large and special needs groups. Greet guests, determine the number in their party, and seat them efficiently by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing menus. Guide guests through dining rooms and provide necessary assistance. Ensure place settings are appropriate, including napkins, clean silverware, and other standard items. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day and monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, and safety. Communicate effectively with guests and other employees to meet guest needs and ensure team collaboration. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or * equivalent. At least 1 year of related work experience.
