Planning Engineer

ERA Projects is looking for an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in building and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and coordination with project and site teams. The role requires strong knowledge of Primavera P6, construction schedules, WBS, baseline programs, critical path analysis, progress tracking, and recovery planning. These are also reflected in current Planning Engineer postings in Bahrain. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6. Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on project drawings, scope, and construction activities. Develop baseline programs, target milestones, and project execution schedules. Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules. Collect and verify dai progress information from site teams. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients. Identify delays, slippages, critical activities, and potential schedule risks. Analyze the critical path, float, and schedule performance. Prepare recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, and other departments. Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resources against project requirements. Update schedules based on approved variations, changes, and actual site progress. Prepare look-ahead schedules and short-term execution plans. Assist with Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required. Monitor project milestones and ensure activities are aligned with overall project objectives. Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates. Maintain proper records of programs, progress updates, reports, and planning doentation.
