About Your Role We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Procurement & Logistics team in Doha. In this role, We are looking for an experienced and proactive Procurement Officer to support Qatar Airways Group’s global fuel operations by coordinating fuel requirements, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted supply of aviation fuel across the network. Based in Doha with a global operational scope, the role works closely with Fuel Operations Control Centre (OCC), airports, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support day-to-day fueling activities, operational continuity, and cost-effective fuel decisions. The position supports fuel procurement activities, including supplier management, contract administration, fuel tenders, market analysis, and commercial negotiations, ensuring fuel purchasing strategies align with operational requirements, cost optimization objectives, and company policies. Key Responsibilities Evaluate specifications submitted by user departments and support procurement sourcing activities. Negotiate costs and commercial terms with suppliers for low- to medium-value goods and services. Resolve operational procurement issues including delays and supplier response challenges. Create, review, and maintain procurement records, including purchase orders and item codes. Ensure purchase orders are issued with accurate pricing, delivery dates, and payment terms. Administer tender activities, including documentation, approvals, validation checks, and system records. Prepare procurement reporting data and support sourcing strategy implementation. Provide regular updates on tender status, approvals, clarifications, and awards. Maintain procurement records to support compliance and audit requirements. Ensure compliance with procurement processes, Delegation of Authority (DoA), and company policies while building effective relationships with end users. About You To be successful in this role, you should have: High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification, Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience. Airline, Middle East, or category-specific experience. Preferred Airline procurement experience. Fluent command of the English language. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to present data clearly and accurately. Planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong attention to detail. Finance and business acumen.
