Mold Design Engineer

What the work is

Design and develop plastic injection molds and multi-cavity molds. Prepare and design 3D models and 2D drawings for molds and spare parts. Design Core & Cavity, cooling systems, Ejection, and Runner/Gate systems. Review product design and ensure its manufacturability (DFM). Work on design programs such as SolidWorks / Siemens NX / CATIA / AutoCAD. Cooperate with the manufacturing department and the mold workshop during the manufacturing and testing of molds. Analyze mold problems during the Mold Trial and make the necessary modifications. Follow up on the quality of molds and ensure they match the required specifications. Coordinate with the production, maintenance, quality, and engineering departments. Prepare and update mold drawings and technical documentation. Not less than 7 years of experience in plastic injection mold design. Strong experience in Plastic Injection Molds. Good knowledge of multi-cavity mold design. Experience in Core & Cavity, Cooling, Ejection, Runner & Gate Systems. Proficiency in using one of the engineering design programs such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA. Good knowledge of mold manufacturing, operation, and testing processes. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Good problem-solving skills and ability to deal with the manufacturing team.
