About the Role Apparel Group is seeking a Commis Chef to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for performing basic food preparation tasks within a designated kitchen section, working closely with senior culinary staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities Cooperate and work with the senior cook in food production within the assigned section. Assist the senior cook in performing duties efficiently. Collect required food items from stores and the butchery. Prepare mise-en-place according to directions provided by the section head. Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen. Attend training classes and maintain records of new recipes and cooking procedures. Maintain equipment in good, clean condition and ensure regular repairs and maintenance are carried out. Maintain food cost within budget by controlling waste without compromising standards. Perform any other duties as allocated by management. Health, Safety, and Security Compliance Maintain required standards of operational hygiene according to cleaning rotas at all times. Be aware of Restaurant policies and procedures related to health, hygiene, and fire life safety, ensuring direct reports also comply. Familiarize with emergency exits and evacuation procedures. General Company Standards Comply with the company's corporate code of conduct. Familiarize with company values and model desired behaviors. Perform tasks as directed by management in pursuit of business goals. Qualifications and Experience Candidates should possess 0-1 year of relevant experience in a kitchen environment. The role requires a foundational understanding of culinary practices and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and hygiene.
