What are legal working hours and overtime in the UAE?

Normal work is 8 hours a day or 48 hours a week. In Ramadan working hours are reduced by two hours a day. Work beyond your normal hours is overtime, paid at 125% of your normal wage, rising to 150% for night hours between 10pm and 4am. You get at least one rest day a week. If you are made to work overtime without extra pay, keep a record of your hours. File a complaint with MOHRE on 600590000 or through the MOHRE app. Keep your contract and any duty rosters as proof.
