Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement a practical business plan for launching and growing the freight forwarding division. • Generate new business across sea freight, air freight and GCC road freight. • Build relationships with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers and local service providers. • Obtain competitive buying rates and prepare profitable customer quotations. • Manage FCL, LCL, import, export and door-to-door shipment arrangements. • Establish booking, documentation, shipment tracking, billing and customer-service procedures. • Identify cross-selling opportunities within Red Sun’s existing customer base. • Monitor shipment profitability, customer credit terms and payment collections. • Identify the registrations, systems and operational resources required for the division’s activities. • Build and supervise a team as the business grows. Requirements • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales and operations, preferably within Oman or the wider GCC. • A demonstrable record of winning business and managing profitable customer accounts. • Established professional relationships with freight agents and transport service providers. • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, Incoterms, customs coordination and freight pricing. • Ability to independently develop a new division within an existing company. • Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
