Where these rooms and jobs come from

Almost nothing on MigrantBhai was written by MigrantBhai. Advertisements are collected from other public listing sites — OpenSooq, Expat.com and GulfTalent among them — and republished here as Bangla-first pages that open on a cheap phone.

A room collected that way names the site the advertisement came from and carries a button that opens the original. If you want the advertiser's own words, or a photo we did not copy across, that button is the way to them. A room posted through MigrantBhai itself has no original anywhere else, so it carries no such button.

MigrantBhai is not the landlord, not the employer and not an agent. It did not write these advertisements and does not stand behind what they say.

A landlord's number is never printed on a public page. It is released only to a signed-in worker who asks for it, and every release is logged — that is what stops one page-source from harvesting the numbers of the whole corridor.

What we do not check

We do not inspect the building. We do not verify ownership documents. We do not guarantee the bed is still free today. For jobs, we do not vet the employment contract or the company's licence.

So go and see it yourself before you pay. Never send an advance for a room you have not seen — a request to pay first by bKash, Nagad or bank transfer is the most common scam.

What a green tick would mean

If a room ever carries the green tick, it will mean one thing only: a person at MigrantBhai telephoned the number on the advertisement and confirmed that the room exists, what the rent is, and how many beds are free — as of the date printed beside the tick. Not an inspection, not a licence, and not a promise the bed is still free when you get there.

No room and no job on this site carries that tick today. Not one of the rooms or jobs published here has been checked by anybody at MigrantBhai. Where there is no tick, nobody at MigrantBhai has checked that row — and today that is every row.

A row collected from another site can never carry the tick. The database refuses it — a room or job that has a source cannot be marked verified at all — so no crawl and no mistake can put our mark on somebody else's advertisement.

What is read before it appears, and what is not

Anything a person writes into MigrantBhai — a review, a story, a question, or a room or job posted through the site — waits in a queue until someone here reads it and approves it. Until then nobody else can see it.

Advertisements collected by the crawler do not wait. They publish automatically. Because every room and job in the catalogue today arrived that way, “a person read this before it went up” is not true of anything you are looking at.

About jobs

Some advertisements state no salary — those say "Salary not stated", and we never fill in a number the advertisement did not give. The same holds for the recruitment fee. What the advertisement does not say, we do not invent.

MigrantBhai and its staff never charge a worker for a job. If anyone asks you for money in our name, do not pay — report it.

Reviews and stories

A person reads every review and story before it publishes. We do not edit them. We remove ones that break the rules, and the decision is recorded with a reason.

A story is one worker's own account — not verified information. Do not read the two as the same thing.

The answers

Answers are built from the guides published on this site. Where we have a source for an answer the page names it; where we do not, the page says exactly that rather than implying one.

The assistant does not write an answer of its own. It takes one of those guides and puts it in the words of your question; if that step fails you get the guide's own words, unchanged. When it finds no guide that fits, it says so and hands you somewhere to go — it does not fill the gap with a guess.

Some questions are never answered from a guide at all. A question about the law, a passport, unpaid wages, the police or violence is sent to the embassy, consulate and emergency numbers for the country you are in, and that decision is taken before anything is looked up. A question written in a script we cannot read at all is put in the same group rather than answered — that is the safer way to be wrong.

If you speak, what we heard appears in the box as text — you can check and correct it, and nothing is sent until you send it.

If something is wrong

Every listing, job, review and story has a Report button. Reporting needs a sign-in. A report goes straight into the moderation queue, a person decides, and who decided what is recorded with the reason.

You do not need an account to write to us: support@migrantbhai.com

Who runs it

MigrantBhai is run by its own small team from an admin console. Every moderation decision is recorded with who made it and when.

We are not a licensing body, and no third party audits any of this. We claim exactly this much and no more.
