What are legal working hours and the rest day in Qatar?
Normal work is a maximum of 8 hours a day and 48 hours a week. In Ramadan it is 6 hours a day. Work beyond this is overtime and must be paid at a higher rate based on at least the minimum basic wage. You get a weekly rest day. Your maximum working day including overtime should not pass 10 hours. If your employer makes you work longer with no overtime pay, note your hours and dates and report to the Ministry of Labour on 16008. Keep duty rosters or messages as proof.
